3.3 I have uploaded html-files to my site, but there is still default page "Welcome" at my address www.mydomain.com!

3.1 How can I upload a file to my virtual server using FTP?
There are several good programs available, including freeware and shareware versions. If you don't have an FTP program, you can download one from the Internet. Most popular FTP clients are CuteFTP, FAR, Bullet Proof FTP.

To use any FTP-client you have to know three main things:

1. Domain name or IP address
2. Login name (login)
3. Password (password)

You should use only FrontPage to transfer files if FrontPage extensions are installed on your site. In case FrontPage is stipulated by the tariff plan, FrontPage extensions can be included after your request (free of charge). Also you can upload, edit and create new files through the WEB. Please, log on Control panel of your site (www.yourdomain.com/siteadmin) and click the FileMan button.

3.2 Where have I to unload html-files to?

Attention! When you log on the server, you are in a user folder (according to your login name)! Read carefully:
Structure of directories on the virtual server.
 /
logs (log-files)
web (folder for html-files)
users (folder of your server users)
xxxx (user xxxx)
web (folder for html-files of this user)
yyyy (user yyyy)
web (folder for html-files of this user)
. . .

You can have your own users on your virtual server. Every your user receives a folder in the users directory. A user can upload files of his (her) site to /users/login/web directory and view it on http://yourdomen/~login address.
There is also a login of server admin in the users folder. Only one unique difference between admin and an ordinary user is that admin has access to all folders of the virtual server, while the ordinary user can not leave his (her) folder in users directory.

When you log on your virtual server as the admin, you get in a folder /users/login and if you want to upload files of a site, you have to go two levels up to root web folder! If you prefer to log on root folder directly, select "Initial remote dir" = > /web in your FTP client and you will be in your root web folder after connection with the server.

3.3 I have uploaded html-files to my site, but there is still default page "Welcome" at my address www.mydomain.com!

Please read question and answer above. Maybe you uploaded your files to user folder (according to your login). Check up whether you can view your files on www.yourdomain.com/~login web address.
